This
is a course of great beauty, close to the historic town
of Lagos, perfectly blending beach and mountain scenery.
Its clubhouse, set between the ninth and tenth holes, provides
a fantastic panorama over 25km of the Atlantic coastline.
Besides its excellent level of maintenance, the reputation
of the course derives from its perfect marriage between
two types of landscape.
After starting with a difficult dog-leg par 4 from a high
tee, the golfer enters the links which run along Meia Praia,
a great expanse of white sands and high dunes. One the sixth,
the course heads back inland towards the clubhouse. From
here, the challenge is totally the opposite, with the remaining
holes designed along undulating valleys bordered by pine
trees, affording magnificent views over Lagos bay and the
Monchique mountains
